The Pocket Returns

A new season of The Pocket premieres today. Thank you, dear reader, for your patience.

It’s been an age since my last post. I don’t know if apology is warranted, but if it is, I offer it. I am deeply grateful to you for joining me on this journey of The Pocket.

And I hope you’ll continue on with me as I ramp back up my presence and postings, starting now. 

These writings and the readership and dialogues that were generated from them have been meaningful beyond words, beyond the words. And, it was through the process of writing this newsletter and honing the north star that guided it, that some vital clarity came.

What got clear is that The Pocket was the beginning. Digging for my north star here helped me see this: that I am champion for the cause of each of you being fulfilled, of each of us finding our voice and our way, of each of us taking the right next step to bringing our whole self to bear in whatever we do. 

Without intending it or mapping it, that’s what the content of The Pocket became: the pursuit of wisdom and techniques for finding and harnessing our passion, for leveling up our projects, for getting out of our own way, so that success and serenity prevail.

So, after those hearty months of writing and posting here, I decided in March 2021 to take the next step myself.

I embarked on an intensive year-long journey of becoming a Certified Executive and Integral® Coach, and I am now actively coaching clients. 

So, what is Integral® Coaching? 

It’s a deep philosophy, but in short, it’s a unique coaching offering that aims to bring a client’s unique powerful qualities into integrity and fruition across the whole of their being, across all their initiatives. It’s holistic support: in practical, short-term ways as well as longer-term, transformational growth.

It’s co-creating a new way of being that aligns with your deepest aspirations.

The “both/and” of this coaching practice — the tactical & the transformational — enables a coaching partnership to be ‘about’ any and all things that are ‘up’ for a client at this moment. From the practical and technical, to the deep and personal, to the relational and interpersonal, Integral® is the broadest and deepest coaching paradigm I have found.

I love coaching, in part because it brings the totality of me and my skills and passions and experiences to bear in a way that is of meaningful service to others. I also love writing this newsletter for similar reasons.

So I aim to continue writing The Pocket starting now. While I might throw a little more coaching jargon and offerings out there, my aim is to continue to pursue The Pocket writing for its own sake. What that means for you, dear reader, is:
